Grand Siyum Harambam

On Monday night, the Rabbinical College of America had a grand celebration of the completion of the Rambam according to the known directive of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. This occasion commemorated the 28th cycle of completing the 14 books of the Yad Hachazaka. "It is through learning Rambam as one that all Jews are united through Torah." explained the Rabbi Chaim Schapiro of Rosh Machon Lesmicha, quoting the Lubavitcher Rebbe. "It is also a great Kidush Hashem to simply be able to master "Kol Hatorah Kulo" -the entire Torah" continued Schapiro. "I remember when I managed to get a glimpse of the Lubavitcher Rebbe standing in his Sukkah in front of 770, what was he holding and studying? Rambam." Other highlights of the evening we're an address of one of the students of the Yeshiva Tom Yahel and of Rosh Yeshiva Yeshiva Tiferes Bachurim, Rabbi Zalman Dubinsky. The evening was hosted by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Zalman Wilshansky and the Dean Rabbi Moshe Herson. Following the formal ceremonies was a Chassidishe Farbrangen with Special Guest, Head Shliach of Michigan, Rabbi Berel Shemtov, the festivities continued until the wee hours of morning.
