It is traditional to begin saying the Selichos prayer at 1am on the Saturday night before Rosh Hashana. (Unless there are less then 4 days until Rosh Hashana begins, then we start Selichos on the week before, as done this year)

There is much lore and emotion connected with the spirit of Selichos. In Chabad the Selichos spirit was encouraged to be preceded by a unique style Farbrangen (Chassidic gathering see wiki).

This year we are making this special atmosphere available to a greater audience by inviting college students to join. This will be an educational and uplifting experience for both visitors and full time bochurim. Join and partake in getting inspired and feeling the warmth and Chassidic vibe of the pre-High Holiday spirit.
